Cooperation protocol between Beni Suef University and Elkomi Group in the field of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Support

Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, signed a protocol of joint cooperation with Major General / Hassan Mahmoud, Secretary General of El Komi Group, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Mumtaz Hegab, Dean of the Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, Mr. Mohamed Selim, Secretary General of the University, and representatives of the company, in the field of environmental development.
Prof. Dr. Mansour explained that the protocol is within the framework of interest in supporting the Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Research, and the university’s gift of modern greenhouses equipped with all capabilities and medicinal plants of a medicinal and aromatic nature necessary for the research process at the Institute to serve the research and investments of both parties in the field of medicinal and aromatic plants, by providing all the necessary information, studies and researches in this field, noting that the protocol also aims to train and qualify the employees and affiliates of the group and burden them with multiple experience in the field of plants, in addition to the university’s participation in the products and types of plants produced from the greenhouses with the company, as well. It was emphasized the formation of joint committees between the two parties to follow up on the procedures for activating the protocol and all new work in greenhouses.
The university president stressed that the protocol highlights the role of university and other groups of society in active participation in various fields to support sustainable development efforts and Egypt’s Vision 2030, to make a general state of interdependence among the groups of Egyptian society, which coincides with the vision of the Egyptian state in reducing pollution rates and raising the level of public awareness of environmental aspects, by presenting scientific research methods and modern methods in various scientific fields to build healthy and sustainable environmental communities in an integrated manner.
