Beni Suef University organizes a number of activities and events to celebrate the International Day of Older Persons

The Council of Beni Suef University, headed by Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, in its 225th session, approved the Institute for Elderly Sciences Studies to organize a number of activities and awareness campaigns through the media and social networking sites, to introduce some basic rules for dealing with the elderly, the appropriate environment for them, and ways to deal with them. In emergency cases until specialist assistance arrives This was within the framework of the celebration of the International Day of Older Persons, which the world celebrates on October 1st every year, in the presence of the university’s vice presidents, college deans, and council members
The university president confirmed that the Institute for Elderly Studies is in the process of organizing a symposium on the elderly at the institute’s headquarters, and participating with the Faculty of Medicine in running a number of medical convoys within the Giving Egypt Initiative. In addition to participating in the celebration organized by the university to honor a number of symbols and personalities who have a prominent role in serving the issues of the elderly
The university president explained that the International Day of the Elderly or Seniors is approved by the United Nations as a global annual occasion that is commemorated on the first of October, in order to raise awareness of the problems facing the elderly, such as aging and abuse of the elderly, and to celebrate what the elderly have accomplished for society
