The Faculty of Sciences in Beni Suef launches the initiative “Preparing the Researcher Student and Building the New Republic”

Under the patronage of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, the Faculty of Science launched an initiative entitled “Preparing the Researcher Student and Building the New Republic,” which mainly targets undergraduate students in the various scientific colleges, and equipping them with scientific research skills, as more than 1,000 students registered in that initiative. From Beni Suef University and other universities, under the supervision of Dr. Gamal Abdel Rahman, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Hamada Mohamed Mahmoud, Dean of the College of Science, and in the presence of the college’s deputies, and a large number of faculty members in colleges and scientific institutes from inside and outside the university, and the concerned university’s managements and centers , in addition to a number of companies supporting the initiative.
The university president explained that the initiative aims to develop students’ skills in using scientific methods in preparing studies and research, enhancing the use of the research method in solving problems and making decisions, and training students on how to collect data in a scientific manner in addition to methods for analyzing it, and how to draw conclusions and develop suggestions and recommendations. In addition to how to formulate research questions and participate in preparing a research paper.
Dr. Hamada Mohamed Mahmoud, Dean of the College, indicated that the initiative includes three stages. The first stage aims to teach the basics of scientific research and the rules of thinking. The second stage deals with how to participate in groups and benefit from the experiences of writing with others and writing research, while the third stage targets how to implement scientific research on the ground through feasibility studies, entrepreneurship training and obtaining funding from donors.
