The Faculty of Special Needs Sciences at Beni-Suef University Organizes an Anti-Bullying Awareness Day at a Local School

The Faculty of Special Needs Sciences at Beni-Suef University, under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of the University, organized a comprehensive anti-bullying awareness day titled “It’s Not a Joke” at Al-Awael School.
The event was held under the supervision of Dr. Abu El-Hassan Abdel-Mawgoud, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Hamada Mohamed, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; and Dr. Hebatallah Abu El-Nil, Dean of the Faculty.
Dr. Tarek Ali stressed that the university places great importance on school awareness campaigns, particularly those aimed at combating negative behaviors such as bullying. He noted that bullying represents a societal challenge that must be addressed through education and early awareness, affirming the university’s commitment to launching initiatives that promote values of tolerance and respect among students. He added that such activities embody the university’s role in serving the community and contribute to building a conscious generation capable of positive communication and respecting others.
The awareness day, overseen by Dr. Mahmoud El-Shehawi, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Haitham Naji, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Affairs; and Dr. Camelia El-Wakeel, Student Activities Coordinator, included a series of interactive activities aimed at raising awareness about the dangers of bullying. These activities featured an educational play illustrating the psychological and social effects of bullying, classroom discussion circles to reinforce values of respect and acceptance, and interactive workshops promoting a culture of tolerance and cooperation among students.
Dr. Hebatallah Abu El-Nil, Dean of the Faculty, added that this awareness event comes as part of the university’s initiatives to promote community awareness and create a safe and supportive school environment. She emphasized the faculty’s commitment to providing psychological and educational support to students and building school communities free from negative behaviors.
