President of Beni Suef University: National Institute for Research on animals and poultry diseases No. (34) of the total number of colleges and institutes in university

Beni Suef University Council approved, in its meeting No. (136), held under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. / Amin Lotfy, university President on establishing the National Institute for Research on animals and poultry diseases at the Research Town, eastern Nile. This institute is number (34) of the total number of colleges and institutes of the university.

This comes within the framework of university President's interest in meeting the needs of labor market and the developing the Egyptian economy, as the poultry industry is one of the focal sectors in economy and one of the main components of food industry and the workers in the field of food industry represents about 16% of workforce, its investments is about 29 billion, its exports is 11.5% of the total industrial exports.

The Rector added the aim of establishing this institute is to rehabilitation of graduates from colleges of Veterinary Medicine, Agriculture, Science and giving them basic skills for the management of poultry farms and dairy farms commensurate with the latest labor market requirements, and promoting the common disciplines among those colleges, as well as the interest in improving researches of production of vaccines that contribute in the resistance of diseases.
