Minister of Higher Education issued a ministerial decree to form the National General Assembly for Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO), with the membership of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, for his prominent leadership role and contributions to the development and enrichment of the higher education system.

The association came with the membership of a number of presidents of Egyptian universities, representatives of ministries and concerned national bodies, along with a number of prominent national figures in the field of education, culture and science to unify all efforts in accordance with the state strategy.

It is worth mentioning that the Committee is a liaison between UNESCO and the relevant State bodies in the fields of education, science and culture. It is concerned with the approval of projects carried out in cooperation with the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) and the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO).

The family of Beni Suef University, from the six Vice-Chancellors, faculty deans and agents, faculty members, assisting staff, administrative security and students, extend heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, for being a member of the General Assembly of the National Committee of UNESCO.
