“Sustainable Development… A Way of Life”: A Workshop for Faculty Members at the Faculty of Education – Beni-Suef University

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni-Suef University, the Faculty of Education organized a workshop for its faculty members titled “Sustainable Development… A Way of Life.” The event was held under the supervision of Dr. Abou El-Hassan Abdel-Mawgoud, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Osama Mahmoud Qarni, Dean of the Faculty; Dr. Ahmed Fikry Bahnassawy, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Dr. Azzam Abdel-Naby, Ambassador of Excellence. The workshop was delivered by Dr. Salwa Helmy Ali, Professor of Foundations of Education at the Faculty.
Dr. Tarek Ali explained that the workshop comes as part of the university’s efforts to promote a culture of renewed awareness and strengthen its role in leading national transformation toward a greener and more sustainable future. He affirmed that the workshop presented an integrated vision that combines scientific thinking with national responsibility by discussing sustainability concepts as a mindset, a daily practice, and a national pathway aligned with Egypt’s Vision 2030.
The workshop also highlighted the importance of embedding sustainable development as a philosophy of life rather than a temporary initiative, contributing to building a new awareness among academics, students, and the community. The session was characterized by its dynamic discussions, intellectual depth, and strong sense of responsibility, reflecting a clear passion for progress and supporting national efforts to achieve a sustainable future.
