Beni Suef University celebrates the graduation of the first batch of students from the Faculty of Navigation Sciences and Space Technology

Today, Beni Suef University, headed by Dr. Mansour Hassan, University President, celebrated the graduation of the first batch of students from the College of Navigation Sciences and Space Technology, which numbered 112 graduates, in the presence of Dr. Osama Shalabia, Dean of the College, Dr. Hanan Suleiman, Member of the Senate, the College’s deputies, and Dean Majed Rajab,Head of the Central Administration of the Damietta Port Authority, Dr. Ashraf Shaker, Head of the Astronomy Department at the National Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research, Dr. Makram Ibrahim, Emeritus Professor at the National Institute for Astronomical Research, faculty members, employees, graduates and their families.
The University President congratulated the students and parents on the occasion of their children’s graduation after years of effort and work, wishing them success and a bright future as they are on the cusp of the beginning of a new phase in their professional lives, stressing the university’s support for graduates in order to improve their scientific skills, whether through graduate studies or Various training programs, where he thanked the faculty members for their great efforts in providing an appropriate environment for students in order to graduate a generation with a great deal of awareness and an effective role in society.
The University President expressed his happiness with the graduation of the first batch of the Faculty of Navigation Sciences, and praised the level of that batch that appeared through the projects due to the excellence and uniqueness of the research ideas on which these graduation projects were based, which are in line with the fact that the Faculty of Navigation Sciences and Space Technology at Beni Suef University is the first specialized college of its kind in the Middle East in the fields of astronautics and space applications and technology.
Dr. Osama Shalabia, Dean of the College, thanked and appreciated the President of the University for his continuous support and providing all forms of support to students, stressing that the College is keen to raise the level of graduates in terms of quality and not just quantity because they represent the real beginning of the labor market in the field of navigation and space, especially since the College is the first one of its kind in the Middle East.
During the ceremony, an explanatory video was shown about the college and its departments, another video about the students’ graduation projects, the graduates’ speech delivered by one of the top students , and a various artistic segment. The family of the late student, Aliyah Ahmed Hassan, in the third grade of the college, was also honored, as well as the deputies, faculty members, and a number of distinguished employees. .
