President of Beni Suef University Chairs Meeting of the Faculty of Politics and Economics Council

Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, chaired today the meeting of the Faculty of Politics and Economics Council. The session addressed a number of key academic and administrative issues, in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Nour, Dean of the Faculty; Dr. Hesham Bashir, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies; Dr. Mohamed Ali, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; Mr. Mohamed Selim, Secretary-General of the University; and members of the Council.
During the meeting, the University President emphasized the importance of developing academic programs in line with the evolving demands of both local and international labor markets. He also stressed the need to support students in identifying available scholarships and research opportunities, in a way that enhances their academic and research capabilities.
The Council also reviewed the Faculty’s plan to attract international students from various countries, thereby strengthening the University’s regional and global standing and enriching cultural diversity on campus.
Furthermore, the Council approved the establishment of a new program in Digital Economics and Data Analysis, in partnership with the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence. This initiative represents a strategic step toward fostering integration between economic sciences and modern technologies. The program is considered unique in the Middle East, as it combines the study of digital economics with advanced data analytics tools, keeping pace with global transformations in artificial intelligence and the knowledge economy. It aims to prepare qualified professionals capable of leading sustainable development and driving innovation within academic and economic institutions.
In a separate context, the University President conducted an inspection tour of the Faculty, which included lecture halls, auditoriums, and the library. He reviewed the readiness of the infrastructure and praised the efforts made to upgrade the facilities and equip them with the latest educational technologies. He affirmed that the University places great importance on providing a comprehensive learning environment that enables students to excel and innovate, noting that the development and modernization of the library and its resources are fundamental pillars in supporting the educational and research process.
