Under the auspices of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, the Faculty of Political Science and Economics organized a seminar entitled "Managing International
Crises and the Role of Mediation in Resolving Them".
This event was held under the supervision of Dr. Hamada Mohamed Mahmoud, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Mohamed Nour El-Basrati, Dean of the Faculty, as a continuation of the training sessions for students participating in the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs simulation model. The model is implemented under the supervision of Dr. Shaimaa Abdel Salam, the academic supervisor. Dr. Hussein El-Behairy, an expert on African affairs and head of the African Studies Unit at the National Center for Middle East Studies, lectured at the seminar, which witnessed broad interaction and a rich discussion among the participating students.
For his part, Dr. Tariq Ali stressed that the university pays great attention to empowering students and honing their political and diplomatic skills through simulation models, which aim to link the academic aspect with international practical reality, noting that understanding the mechanisms of crisis management and international mediation is a fundamental pillar for preparing a generation of young cadres capable of representing Egypt in international forums in the future with a conscious and enlightened scientific mindset.
